Fats, Oils, Grease & Sand Program
The City's Fats, Oils, Grease and Sand Trap Program (FOG Program) was established in 2005 to help eliminate sanitary sewer overflows caused from fats, oils, grease and sand entering the sewer mains of the City. Since then, we have seen a great difference in the sewer influent quality and number of blockages that were once the result of these contributors.
As a reminder to FOG Program customers, monthly inspections of your grease/sand trap are required. When the inspection shows that the trap is more than 20% of the capacity full, it must be cleaned. These monthly inspections and cleanings are reported to the City on a quarterly basis. Please find the quarterly reporting form and other helpful information in the links below.
